Handmade from woven Ata grass, each placemat is a work of art that has taken many hours to weave. After weaving the item is strengthened using a traditional smoking process done over smouldering coconut husks. The placemats are then whitewashed by hand to get their distinctive look.

We work direct with a family of master weavers in Lombok - our long term relationship ensures we only stock the best quality and that the weavers are paid fairly for their craft.
